A Look Into Hasselblad's 100MP H6D

Hasselblad-100-megapixel

When you have a reputation for manufacturing the world’s most advanced medium format camera systems there is constant expectation of more to come. Hasselblad has continued the legacy of their tried and true 50 MP sensor of the H5D in the new H6D. This time, offering a 100MP option to the mix. With 14 and 15 stops of dynamic range, respectively, both models capture maximum detail in light and shadows.  A more durable shutter has been incorporated into the H6D, with a top shutter speed of 1/2000th second when paired with Hasselblad's new HC lenses.

The H6D has been reconstructed upon an entirely electronic platform. These reimagined models have introduced new features to Hasselblad's medium format legacy – HD video up to 4K, native ISO 12,800, a customizable touch LCD screen, and 2.5 fps RAW shooting, to name a few.

4K video mode in the 100MP digital back comes equipped with some perks: HDMI capability for external monitors, distinct audio input and output ports, and a CFast card slot (which allows for 3fps still as well).

Karl Taylor got creative when he was asked to launch the H6D with Hasselblad. Take a look!
